Summer blockbusters!!!?

Which movie are you looking forward to more? Hairspray or Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix? I’m a Harry Potter fan, but Hairspray looks so much fun! I mean, John Travolta plays a woman!!! Other stars like Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, Queen Latifah, Britanny Snow, and Amanda Bynes are in it, too. And who can forget Zac Efron?! OMG! He’s so cute and my celeb crush. Do you think the Harry Potter movies are getting worse? Well, they’re putting more “teen” romance into it…
Well, people, I’m still a teen, and yes, I do get hormonal. I’m not even saying that because of the romance stuff Harry Potter movies are bad. I like that kind of drama and stuff! I just wanted to know which one you’re more excited about.

its been really been publicized recently, with john travolta dressing as a woman in “Hairspray” , eddie murphy in “Norbit” etc.

Robert Downey Jr. is going to play a black guy…?

I read an article about Robert Downey Jr, on Yahoo’s home page.

I cut & pasted this, NO changes.

Downey, who says he was “tired of working my butt off doing films nobody sees,” also will open later this summer in what he describes as “a very, very raucous comedy called Tropic Thunder, with Ben Stiller.” In the film, a send-up of Vietnam War movies, Downey wears blackface as an actor playing a black Army sergeant. The part is already inciting controversy. Downey, though, insists it is the kind of role the late Peter Sellers might have done.

John Travolta played a fat woman in Hairspray, I never saw it but I heard he did a good job. But this is…I have no words for it, I’m at a loss.

Basically, what I’m asking is: Can a WHITE man play a BLACK man in a movie?

And do it respectfully?

Would you go to see it?
Actually, I have the movie ‘Soul Man’ with C. Thomas Howell and Rae Dawn Chong, where he plays a white guy that turns black to get into college. I’ve had a crush on Rae Dawn Chong for years. That movie did make some good points, however I wouldn’t have waited till the end to knock that racist punk on his a**, “No offense.”

Worst Casting Decisions Ever ?

Ok, We’ve all seen a movie where the cast just don’t fit the character, and we ask…WHY them?
Here’s a list of what I think are the worst Casting Decisions.

>Tara Ried as a scientist ‘Alone in the Dark’

>Beyonce Knowles ‘DreamGirls’
>Julia Roberts ‘Erin Brokavich’ (who was actually in real life over weight, and tired and just not julia roberts!!!)
>Justin Timberlak In ANYTHING!!!

King Leonidas, the Phantom, and Dracula?

I find it really funny that Gerard Butler has played those three (Leonidas in 300, the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, and Dracula in Dracula 2000). Why is it funny? Well, the characters look nothing like him (Dracula sorta did though), and I find it hard to believe that the Phantom also played a half-naked, barefooted spartan. lol What do you think?

I think the biggest surprise is that he was Leonidas; he just doesn’t look like the character at all. lol There are only a few people who could pull off a character that looks nothing like how the actor really looks (like Robin Williams as Mrs. Doubtfire, and John Travolta as the mom in Hairspray, etc).

How sad…?
